Tru-Turf is often asked why they’re the only people in the world who build rollers this way. They think it’s because their high-investment, hands-on, research-intensive way of doing things is seen as uneconomical in a hard-nosed global marketplace. Larger companies are locked into a production model based on volume and manufacturing efficiencies.

They’ve created a company from the ground up – based on their obsession for engineering excellence and a personal pride in the solutions they deliver – so they are free to design and make their own componentry, prototype, test, research and re-test their products for as long as it takes to make them perfect, and listen hard to exactly what it is that their customers want. It’s not fashionable, but when you see the results out on the course, it makes sense.
